Hello from the UK
Jul 23rd, 2010 at 5:39am

I've just joined the forum and thought I would say hello.  I'm very interested in vintage power free flight, particularly from the 50s and 60s.  There has been a bit if a revival of the old kits over the past few years with several manufacturers producing CNC and laser cut kits.  Many of the early aeromodelling magazines are also available, either on-line or via auction sites, so all I need now is the time to build them all !!!

Some nice small diesel engines are also available today which take me back to my childhood and the smell of diesel fuel.

I'm looking forward to browsing and hopefully contributing to the forum.

Hi DeeBee - a good few of us here on SFA are from the UK.
Are you just returning to the hobby or have you already made a new start?
Depending on where you are in the UK, there is quite a healthy following for vintage free flight.

Hi DeeBee,
Nice to have another European Free Flighter! I hope you will have a lot of fun on this Forum.

By all means take a look at the build of this Veron Cardinal by Mehmet:

And off course all the other threads in the gas/diesel department: http://www.smallflyingartsforum.com/YaBB.pl?board=gas_diesel
