Mini-Cals
Jul 11th, 2010 at 9:58am

Having been mostly into rc for many years I have recently rediscovered the magic of small rubber powered free flight models. We are fortunate to have access to a small gym where we can fly on a regular basis and I have been building some 8" WS profile models that I call Mini-Cals. They combine all the fun of No-Cals with the size of Mini-Sticks. Of course you also get the trimming adventures of both too Smiley My first model is a printed tissue Zippy Sport. The frame is made of 1/32 light balsa and the printed covering is Esaki tissue adhered with UHU glue stick. So far I have been able to get 45 seconds in the gym and am hoping for a minute! Anyway, the little Mini-Cals are easy and fast to build and return a lot of relaxing fun! Aero Ace 41
