Editing info-Another casualty of the move

Bruce/Arjun/whomever it may concern:

I went to update my profile (I just moved) and got this:
Can't open directory (/home/users/web/b2194/ipw.smallfly/public_html/yabbfiles/avatars)!
Please inform the administrator of this forum that the $facesdir setting must be fixed immediately. No such file or directory

It's not a big concern of mine, I just wanted to bring it to your attention.

Oh goody,
When the host company did the transfere a lot of this sort of thing happened.  I am hoping all that needs to be done is to correct the paths.  But if the transfere was not done properly then some of these files will be corrupted, not good.  Arjun did hire them to do the transfere and has been told they will correct these things but it seems as though they are ignoring him.

Bruce, while they are sorting those problems out is there any chance we can get the modify function back on our own posts ? It would be nice to be able to edit our errors out.

...Hm. I just edited one, no problem. I use Explorer. How 'bout you? Where's the disconnect here?

Kiwi,
That is something that I have no idea on what is happening.  I have asked on a support forum that is operated by the code writers for this forum software.  All they can say is 'Hmm, that shouldn't be'.  It is weird since it happens to some members and not others.  If we can get all the current server issues worked out Arjun has mentioned upgrading to the current version of the forum software which has some nice features and is 'more' stable.  Actually this version has been very reliable, but the host company has caused us a number of issue the last couple months.

I find that if I need to edit a post I've made ...log out, log back in and there's the button.

I use Flock and sometimes IE. I always have the modify button, so it doesn't seem to be browser-dependent. I also have chosen the option to 'stay logged in'; I would suggest your 'logged in' state is the problem...

Mmmm, logging out and then back in does bring up the modify button. I'll let you know if it stays there.

Are we going to restore the modify and delete functions? I just put some stuff up on the T & T area that I hadn't intended to.
