I love this idea! If it's not too late I'd like to be considered for a stop. I could get a pic of me flying it in the parking lot at NASA with the VAB in the background.

If you got it to me by the first week of May I could fly it in the Philippines and then hand-carry to New York City (daughter getting married there May 27).  Or would that be cheating?

Fedex delivers door to door and collects any customs duty upon delivery.  But it's very expensive!

My opinion is that hand carrying when possible is the best way to go.

that sounds great to me. and if you could send it to me before may 20, I could fly it at Raeford, then hand-carry it to the Czech Republic and fly it at Medlanky, potentially saving a costly and impersonal transatlantic shipment. From there I could send it to Germany and it could make the rounds of Europe before continuing east.
.....or if I got it in Czechoslovakia by June 19th, it could go back across to the states with me...depending on direction....

I would fly it at the Prater field in Vienna where Etrich  &  Wels tested their zanonia aircraft, which led to the design of the Etrich Taube.
EDIT:
Andy,
I could bring the SFA Flyer to Medlanky if you want.

wow cool idea. I would be willing to put in a flight, maybe after Ed Toner does his flight. Either way this is a super cool idea.

It may be possible to make a flight at Huffman Prairie at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. The Wright Brothers did most of their flight testing at Huffman Prairie and it is on the National Aviation Trail.

With todays climate of national security it may make it  difficult to fly at WPAFB but, one never knows until it's tried. Of course, flying at the National Museum of the Air Force would be a "no brainer"

Well, I don't live near any major landmarks but I'd like to fly this thing too.  Maybe I'll take a pic of the plane sitting on the wing of one of the Zlins I fly... Wink

Count me in, I rarely read the events section and missed this one. The Harbour Bridge or Opera House would be cool backdrops but I'd be worried about flying it into the drink.

Nev could fly it in NZ if he's keen too.

What's going on progress wise as no one has posted for ages?

Cheers,

Dunno what the word is, Rob.  I was thinking of taking the helm soon if no one else does, just as soon as I release my grip from my new Aero Ace Tx Tongue
